Thank you to all that attended our Charity Golf Day

Our annual Charity Golf Day in support of Hire a Hero was a huge success.

This was our sixth annual golf day and was hosted in Newcastle at Close House in Heddon-on-the-Wall. 16 teams came together to take part in different games and challenges across the 18-hole course. Competitions included our hole in one challenge and nearest to the pin challenge - which had some tough competition! Winning teams were in with a chance of golf caps, polo tops as well as a voucher to play at Close House.

The competition was fierce and everyone had a great time taking part in the games. Winners included team 28, Connor Taylor, Andrew Carser, Donal Collins, Jon Hinchcliffe and Craig Jones. Each donated all their winnings to our chosen charity Hire a Hero, who support Service Leavers and Veterans to make the successful transition into civilian life.

With over 63 players attending this year's Charity Golf Day, we were able to raise over £2,000 for Hire a Hero. None of this would have been possible without the support of the players and a huge thank you to Close House Nothumberland who hosted the event for us.
