Be heatwave safe

When the sun makes an appearance, it's hard not to make the most of it and get outdoors and enjoy some rays.

The NHS have appealed for everyone to be sun aware and look out for their neighbours, friends and family who may be elderly and need support during the summer months.

Although the heat can be lovely in small doses, it can also cause dehydration, overheating and exhaustion - especially for the elderly who might not be as sun prepared.

You can be prepared by checking the weather forecast in advance and dressing accordingly, have sun cream to hand and sun cap when necessary.

Here at Ascot Care, we like to ensure all our residents stay sun safe when enjoying a summer's day outside.

To find out more about how you can stay sun safe, see the NHS' advice.
