NHS Flu Award Scheme

NHS England have come together to recognise the efforts made by the care sector, care homes and care providers who have achieved a high level of flu vaccination amongst their staff.

This is due to the nature of the care sector working closely with elderly and vulnerable individuals who are over the age of 65 where an increased risk of negative side effects of flu is likely.

The Award will recognise the percentage of care staff that have received an active flu vaccination before March 2020. Ascot Care will be providing our results.

They are awarding the Gold Award for over 70% of staff, the Silver Award for 60 - 69% of staff and the Bronze Award for 50 - 59% of staff.

This is a fantastic award initiative by the NHS that we are in full support of as we work towards achieving a Gold Award.
