World Alzheimer's Month

September is recognised as World Alzheimer's Month and Wednesday September 21st is World Alzheimer's Day.

Ascot Care have been raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society throughout 2022.

Several team fundraisers saw the Ascot Care team take on the Cycle for Dementia Challenge, cycling 500 miles in 30 days.  The Run for Dementia Challenge covering 50 miles in 30 days, and the Great North Run.

All money raised has gone to the Alzheimer's Society who run projects that are driven by the needs of people affected by dementia, their families' friends and carers. Alzheimer's Society have research projects spending £150 million over the next decade on cutting edge research, aimed at the care, cure and cause of dementia.

They have services across the UK that provide vital care and support as well as information, and campaigning projects to fight for the rights of everyone effected by dementia.
